We will discuss how nonprofit organizations are organized under state laws, what it means to have "501(c)(3)" status, and how to secure 501(c)(3) status for your nonprofit organization.

How to Draft the Most Common Type of Grant Proposal

Finally, you will be given the format for the most common and easiest type of grant proposal so that you can immediately begin drafting requests for grant funding.

About Danisha L. McClary

Danisha L. McClary is retired Army Officer and an attorney with a LL.M. in government contracts and fiscal law from the U.S. Army Judge Advocate Generals Legal Center and School at the University of Virginia. Danisha also holds a BS in business administration from Florida A&M University; a MS in management from Troy State University; and a JD from the University of Georgia.


Danisha currently serves as Director of Economic Development for a municipality in the state of South Carolina where she also provides grant writing services. Additionally, she provides business conultation services to local small businesses and entrepreneurs and, due to her expertise in government contracting, she has helped her clients secure lucrative contracting opportunities with the federal, state, and local governments.


In addition to her legal speciality in government contracts and fiscal law, Danisha also holds a BS in business administration from Florida A&M University; a MS in management from Troy State University; and a JD from the University of Georgia. She resides in South Carolina with her daughter, two dogs, two bunnies, and her husband who is a retired Army Colonel and the Mayor-elect of their Town.
